The human body, and the human spirit are systems in continuous flux. Meaning, we are never the same person from one second to the next. The beauty and symmetry in this is that doing something, anything, prepares you for more of the same. So if you want to run a marathon, all you need to do is run. If you want to be a master martial artist, all you need to do is practice your techniques. If you want to be a musician, all you need is practice.
The thing of it is, that this isn’t just true for the things we are preparing for on purpose. So, when we stare at the TV, we are preparing for a life of laziness. When we overeat, we are training to be overweight. When we lie, we prepare for a life of not living up to our word.
